Modern Slavery Statement
Although 2G Cleaning Services is not required by law to publish a Modern Slavery Statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), we are committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly. We voluntarily adopt the principles of the Act to affirm our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms.
Our Commitment
2G Cleaning Services is a family-owned business providing professional cleaning services across [insert regions]. We recognise that modern slavery, including forced labour, child labour, debt bondage, and human trafficking, can occur in many forms and across various industries—including cleaning and facility services.
We are committed to identifying, preventing, and addressing the risks of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains. We believe every person deserves to work freely, in safe conditions, and with dignity.
Scope of Operations and Supply Chain
Our business primarily operates within Australia and procures cleaning products, uniforms, and subcontractor services from local suppliers. We also work with small vendors who share our values and ethical expectations.
Risk Management and Due Diligence
We actively seek to partner with suppliers who align with our ethical standards, as outlined in our Supplier Code of Conduct. This includes:
- Prohibiting forced, bonded, or involuntary labour.
- Ensuring all workers have a legal right to work and are not coerced.
- Rejecting all forms of child labour.
- Requiring fair wages, safe working conditions, and voluntary employment.
Our supplier relationships are managed through a combination of:
- Supplier onboarding and contractual commitments to uphold labour rights.
- Clear communication of our expectations around ethical labour practices.
- Periodic reviews of suppliers and open dialogue to identify any areas of concern.
Labour Practices
All 2G Cleaning Services employees and contractors work voluntarily, are free to leave employment with reasonable notice, and are treated fairly and respectfully.
We comply with all Australian employment laws, including wages, superannuation, and working hours.
- Provide employment contracts and payslips to all staff.
- Do not retain worker identity documents or charge recruitment fees.
Grievance and Whistleblowing
We maintain a safe and open environment where employees and suppliers can report any unethical behaviour or suspected modern slavery risks. Concerns can be raised confidentially by emailing: support@2gcleaning.com.au. We investigate all complaints fairly and without retaliation.
Training and Awareness
As a small business, we are committed to continuous learning. Our management team stays informed about modern slavery risks and promotes awareness within our workforce. We encourage ethical decision-making and vigilance in day-to-day operations.
Continuous Improvement
We recognise that identifying and addressing modern slavery risks is an ongoing process. As our business grows, we will continue to strengthen our due diligence practices and seek guidance on ethical sourcing and labour standards.
We expect our suppliers to:
- Uphold human rights and fair labour practices.
- Maintain safe and respectful workplaces.
- Comply with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Minimise environmental impact and manage resources responsibly.
- Demonstrate strong governance and ethical business practices.
By working with us, suppliers agree to uphold these principles in their own operations and supply chains.
